This program is designed for students who are interested in learning about the economic, cultural and religious context of business and economics in Latin American, and is taught from a Christian worldview. This program combines formal academic work, experiential learning that comes from working in a part time internship, all the while living with an Ecuadorian family.
In addition to the excellent academics and experiental learning, cultural activities will challenge you to engage with a Latin culture. These activities are educational, fun, varied and include a trip to the Amazon Jungle.
This course is an examination of the emerging role of business in missions. The general themes covered in this course include: 1.) The theology of business as mission 2.) practical issues related to using business as a vehicle for cross-cultural missions 3.) specific for-profit business models and case studies.
All Students will be placed in a business internship to learn on the job skills. All internships will be conducted up to 15 hours a week in a local business in Quito.
This course concentrates on the theory and practice of current management concerns in the field of global marketing. The context or environment of global marketing is covered along with the task of marketing with distinctive cultural settings.
Spanish is the 3rd most common language spoken in the world. Learning/improving your Spanish will increase your effectiveness in the global market of business.
